Global Emerging Markets Risk Database (GEMs) Data DrivenCollaborative DataQuality Data

GEMs 3.0 aims to be the best data and risk related investor platform, with the goal of facilitating and developing blended finance investment structures that will serve to scale up private investments in climate adaptation, mitigation and the SDGs. It will provide unique and complementary analytical tools and risk data (PDs and LGDs) for current and potential investors in emerging markets, helping to refine their expected loss risk perceptions, thereby facilitating better informed risk pricing and decision-making.

Who We Are

Supported by the Sustainable Markets Initiative Africa Council, GEMs 3.0 is an industry initiative platform, designed to leverage the Global Emerging Markets Risk GEMs data in support of scaling allocations to Africa, emerging markets and developing economies.

Mission Statement

The mission of GEMs3.0 is to democratize GEMS2.0 data and blend market risk data into a scalable asset allocation tool that enhances price discovery, credit and debt management, and risk assessment, to empower investors to responsibly scale allocations to Africa and emerging markets, executing trading and portfolio strategies that accelerate their transition to a low-carbon and sustainable economy.
